A small project in a finished basement, providing better use of wasted space. This area covers over the sump pump and water main. The existing built-in unit was dated, inefficient, ugly. It provided space for a TV and a large hard to use shelf. The finished product provides a quiant, inviting, useable bench seat niche that serves as a reading area. The seat and upper shelf slide out for access to the mechanicals. A small project using well thought out creativity, including removing a wall and expanding the finished basement, adding more rooms to the basement and increasing the kids play area. This project included planning, demolition, framing, wiring (with TV and phone) lighting, insulation, drywall/texturing, dropped ceiling, doors and trim work, new flooring and painting. It turned out great! (The little girls were great helpers)
