Our History
Fox River Remodeling LLC began in 1996, previously known as Exterior Elements and Character Elements. Kevin D. Klepps (pictured above, left) is the owner, with over 30 years experience as a carpenter/contractor and small business owner. Kevin, the youngest of six children, had a unique childhood because of his heritage. His father, Arthur D. Klepps "Art" (above, middle), was a contractor in the home improvement business. Art began his career in 1950 as an employee at Norman Brothers Roofing-Siding & Insulation Inc, est. 1943 in Neenah, WI. Art purchased the business in 1969.
Art's father, Arthur Peter Klepps, born in 1900 (above, right), was also a carpenter/handyman/jack of all trades in and around the Fox Valley. Arthur Peter built small homes, additions, porches, and farm buildings/barns, sheds, and garages. He was a builder, painter, roofer, sider, mason, and logger; even owning a sawmill business that he used his own lumber to build.
At a very young age, Kevin started to follow in his fathers footsteps, just as Art had done with his father, Arthur Peter. Kevin tagged along on job sites as a helper and also on estimates. Evenings, weekends, and many summers were spent working with his dad until Kevin turned 18. He then began to take a greater role in the family business, Norman Brothers, along with his brother-in-law, Tom Francart. In June of 1996, Kevin left his partnership with Tom and began his own business to offer all aspects of residential and commercial construction and remodeling. The name changed twice to fit with the growth of the business and the advanced skills and the variety of services being offered. Today, Fox River Remodeling LLC is a carpentry, construction and remodeling business that really does it all. From start to finish, interiors to exteriors, basement to roof top, wall to wall and absolutely everything in between. A third generation of building and improving, coming from a long heritage of hands-on carpentry with over a 100 year history.
Arthur Peter could be called a "Jack of all trades" and usually what follows is "master of none". Believe it, after three generations of professionally grounded service, Fox River Remodeling LLC "masters it all".
